Hooting Owl Lodge is located in the Niseko Village Ski Resort of the Niseko United area Hokkaido Japan. The lodge is just a short walk to the Niseko Village lifts. You can either walk (10 minutes) or catch the bus which is 30 meters from the front door otherwise you can get the free shuttle from the lodge every morning to the Niseko Village Gondola. It takes only a few minutes to get to any one of the numerous lifts in the Niseko Village area. Lift queues are nearly non-existent here, one of the many advantages of staying in the Niseko Village area.

The lift system  connects you to all of the Niseko United ski area with access to Hirafu ,Hannozono and the Annupuri ski areas from the top of the mountain, where you will also have the fastest access to some of the great back bowls of the area .With an all mountain pass you will be able to discover the fantastic powder snow the Niseko ski fields are famous for. If you’re too tired after carving the deep powder of Niseko , there is a free shuttle bus with your all mountain pass, which connects all the villages and drops you back to the front door of the Hooting Owl Lodge.

Niseko village offers all the charm of a small village with unspoiled views and natural surrounds. The area boast an ice creamery which is famous throughout all of Niseko and Hokkaido which serves up some crazy flavors to say the least- a must try while you are here. It also has some fantastic gift shops displaying local crafts, just a short stroll from the Hooting Owl Lodge.

The Niseko Village area has plenty of restaurants and Bars and our friendly staff will point you in the right direction for a great night out. As well there are an abundance of onsens (natural hot water springs) in the area. An evening in the onsens is a great way to unwind and melt away the aches of a hard day on the slopes.

The Hilton Hotel is located just a short 5 minute bus ride away where you will find several bars, restaurants and onsens, as well as a great Kids club where you can book the kids in for day or night activities. The Niseko Village area also offer great night skiing and snow boarding which is included in your daily pass so you can be on the mountain from 8.30 am till 9.00pm at night great value for money.


From Chitose Airport to Niseko Village there are 4 bus companies which run every 30 minutes.

Bus services run direct from the airport to the Niseko ski area with a rest stop half way the trip takes approx 3 hours. If you get dropped off at the Hilton Hotel Niseko Village we will be able meet you and transfer you to Hooting Owl Lodge approx 5 minute.  If you let us know what time you flight arrives we can book your bus for you. We also provide a drop off service to the Hilton at the end of you vacation.
Otherwise if there is a group of you might want to arrange for door to door transfer with Skybus.

Another option is to get the train from the airport, this involves a platform change in either Sapporo of Otaru which can be a bit of a hassel if you have a lot of luggage. If you do decied on this option which takes about the same time as the bus we can arrange to pick you up from the Niseko Town train station. You will just have to let us know what time your train will be arriving.
